MANPO international plaza is a luxury office building in the city centre of Shanghai. Besides its high-end nature and central location, the main USP for this project is the "flexibility of space". Each floor can be configured as one single 1,000m2 open space or easily tailored into different layouts based on clients' needs.
As part of the marketing materials, I created a brochure integrating the principles of the USP within the design language and structure. The hardcover, printed on metallic paper, features a 3D optical effect from the project's logo. Structured around a spiral bound, the brochure is protected by a semi-transparent sleeve which also hosts the super-graphic title.
Inside, each page has a different format, material and thickness, resulting in a continuously changing, fluid layout.
K11 Art Mall is a luxury shopping mall where the shopping experience is merged with an art gallery and an indoor/outdoor garden. K11 displays a permanent collection of local young artists' works and allows the public to appreciate different local artworks and performances during shopping and leisure. It features a multidimensional natural landscape with various local plants, green roofs, vertical greening and urban farming.
Within the B2B marketing strategies and collaterals for their new location in Shanghai, K11 also requested a unique contract folder and an exclusive corporate gift for the newly acquired tenants. Inspired by the brand's tagline (People, Art, Nature), the logo design, and objects like vintage pneumatic tubes, blueprints holder and traditional Chinese tea packaging, I merged the two functions into one single entity.
The result is a cylindric contracts' holder made of bamboo, featuring at the top an original artwork (hand-painted on a ceramic disc) by a K11 resident artist. Bamboo and ceramic are a deliberate choice of materials to highlight the eco-friendly attitude of the brand.
The holders (arranged in the K11 logo) are displayed on a wall inside the corporate office's VIP meeting room. Once the client signs the contract, a tube is extracted, the agreement loaded in, and then given to the client as an art gift.
FIVE Business Consulting is a hip and young trading / consulting agency for baby's shoes and accessories located in Shanghai. Besides the full brand identity and creative strategy, I also took care of the office's interior design.
Like with many startups, the office is tiny and, in this case, with one single source of natural light. Yet it needs desks, shelves, a meeting area and a display structure for samples. Following the playful spirit and the sleek attitude of the brand, a single orange line moves into the tridimensional space, dividing different areas while keeping the open-space feeling. At the same time, this line is also the framed structure for furniture, garment rail and cable management system.
